Things I love and recommend
I get emails all of the time asking for product, professional and food-related recommendations so I thought I would make a monthly list.
Here’s a list for June 2019 of things that I’m loving right now. They all tickle my fancy and rock my world.
PIX #1: Feel Better Pops
These delicious, dairy free and allergy-friendly ice pops are packed full of wholesome fruits, touches of fresh herbs and probiotics! I’m so impressed with them that I’ll say it again in another way: Feel Better Pops are New Jersey made, immune boosting popsicles made from REAL ingredients that are a 100% healthy and a feel- good treat for the kids AND the mom who is feeding them.
It’s June but during the last 10 days sickness has hit our house in an abnormally strange and non-annual-type-fashion. Together my three kids had the combined symptoms of sore throats, fevers, aches, coughs and the general need to be cuddled and offered something special and these ice pops did the trick!
Fate put these healthy ice treats into my hands and they were just what the Dr. ordered!
I was introduced to Feel Better Pops by a friend of mine, Tracy Nelson. Our daughters play soccer together and she is just one of those people that you can’t help but be drawn to. I think like-minded people always find one another and when Tracy gifted me some of these all-natural, Feel Better Pops I was super excited!
First, I love that these pops are loaded with refreshing fruit.?In fact, FRUIT is the first ingredient listed followed by hydrating coconut water and a boost of Probiotic goodness. The flavors are further enhanced by Chamomile, mint or ginger (three of my immune boosting favorites). Not a single artificial color, flavor, dye, paraben, or genetically modified or engineered ingredient can be found on the label. The only sweetening added is honey and cane sugar.?
My favorite flavor is the Apple Pie. It tastes like the apple smoothies my mom used to make and freeze, only better.
As an added bonus, since Feel Better Pops are made from whole-food ingredients, my oldest daughter (who has numerous food allergies) can enjoy them too!
They have three flavors: Pineapple Banana Smoothie, Apple Pie ( my favorite) and Simply Peach.

PIX #2: Gluten Free Gloriously, Stirling, NJ
I was having lunch with my kiddo’s in Berkley Heights, NJ when I got a text message from a teacher at my daughters school. She was at a small Gluten Free Bakery and wanted to know if I wanted anything for oldest daughter (who has a plethora of food allergies and is Gluten Free). I asked her what was so special about this bakery and she said “ I LOVE EVERYTHING HERE!” Enough said, I told her thank you but I had to visit for myself! After lunch we headed directly to Gluten Free Gloriously in Stirling, NJ. When I pulled up to the store front bakery, my kids and I paused and wondered what all the fuss was about. From the outside it looked like a very simple, small local bakery located in a very tiny part of the world. Looks can be deceiving. As soon as we entered and were greeted by the owner, Nick, we understood immediately what all the fuss was about.
What a special place! Nick told me his nephews story ( about being GF with Food Allergies) and how the lack of tasty baked goodies on the market ( most GF bakery items taste like cardboard) inspired him to create this very specialized bakery. Pride beamed in his eyes as he invited us to look around. My heart skipped a beat as I suddenly noticed that EVERYTHING was safe for me daughter! Certified Gluten Free, Nut Free and Dairy Free baked goodies galore! What to choose from? We picked out a ton of treats from fresh donuts to coffee cake to eclairs to cannoli’s and Irish soda bread and quickly headed home to sample the goods. My daughter has never had a cannoli or an eclair before and she was over the moon! Gluten Free Gloriously baked treats are out of this world and even my husband ( who is a self-proclaimed baked goods expert and NOT GF) gave the goodies two-thumbs up! We are grateful to Nick and his Gloriously Gluten Free bakery for making goodies that my entire family can enjoy. I give them 100 thumbs up! Go visit them today! You can check them out on their website
PIX #3: All-Natural Skin Care Insta Natural
Their mission: “To educate and inspire consumers about the strength in natural ingredients by showing the world how powerful and effective clean and natural beauty products can be.” After randomly selecting a face wash by Insta Natural at my local health food store, I’m here to tell you that they are 100% committed to their mission statement. My skin has never looked and felt so amazing! No parabens, mineral oil, formaldehyde releasers, synthetic dyes, petroleum, polyethylene glycol (PEGs), DEA/MEA/TEA, unsafe preservatives and or anything else you can’t pronounce here! Just straight up natural amazingness! Interested in checking them out? The website is packed full of some great stuff!
PIX #4: Halo Farm, Lawrenceville, NJ
If, for some reason you find yourself in the Princeton/Trenton/Lawrenceville, NJ part of town, I urge you to take a 10- minute pit stop at Halo Farms! Situated in an old pottery factory, they have a window view of milk cartons being filled up with fresh milk and the atmosphere is super friendly and pleasant.
Recommended to me from another soccer parent, my daughter and I decided to check it out on the way home from a tournament last weekend. We were pleasantly surprised! Halo Farms is a cool little market place packed full of farm fresh milks, ice creams, juices, eggs and so much more! My family voted their lemonade to be one of the BEST they’ve ever had. I couldn’t find a blog to link here but they do have a Facebook page if you are interested in finding out more!
I’ll be putting these list’s out monthly, so be sure to check back often. Also, I would LOVE to know what are some of your favorite things? Leave a comment and let me know! XO
PS. I was not compensated in anyway for these recommendations, they are from my heart to yours.
